Multifamily Industry Conferences Worth Attending in 2026
A working calendar of the affordable housing and multifamily industry events where strategy and procurement decisions actually get made.
The multifamily industry calendar has consolidated around a recognizable set of national and regional conferences. For affordable housing operators and their consultants, attending one or two per year is usually enough — the ones where decisions actually get made.
What to look for in any conference
- Developer track sessions, not just operator/property-management track.
- TCAC, HUD, and CASF / state agency representatives presenting or available.
- A working procurement floor — exhibitors who can actually quote and contract.
- Sized small enough that you bump into the same people twice.
National anchors
NMHC, NAHB, and AHF Live remain the national anchors. NMHC tends to draw the larger institutional operator audience; AHF Live is purpose-built for the affordable housing community. NAHB has the construction-trade depth.
California-specific
CCRC, NPH, and SCANPH host the major California affordable housing convenings. For developers running California pipelines, these are usually higher signal than the national events, because policy and TCAC updates are presented directly by the agencies.
